Bangladesh army rape an indigenous Chakma house wife in Naniachar

On 4 January 1985, a group of 140 Bangladesh army personnel of 305th Brigade from Thalchara camp led by Captain Jilani raided the house of Mr. Purna Chela Chakma (28), son of Mr. Robi Das Chakma of Rangeipara in Naniachar, Rangamati district.

During the raid, Bangladesh army raped Mr. Purna Chela Chakma's wife until she lost her consciousness. Then Bangladesh army force Mr. Chakma to prostrate on the ground, covered him with sun-dried grass, and set fire to it. His back was burnt so seriously that he had to be sent to the hospital immediately.
