1963
Sindy’s first pet, a dog called Ringo, is introduced as part of the outfit ‘Country Walk’. Ringo was made of chenille material in grey and white.

1966
Sindy’s first horse was released. The horse, named Peanuts, was chestnut brown (or occasionally black) with a mane and tail that could be brushed.

1968
A horse was introduced for Patch (Sindy’s younger sister). The horse, named Pixie, was a smaller version of Peanuts, but had a blonde mane and tail.

1977
A stable was introduced for Sindy’s horse. The stable with printed walls was made of wood and hardboard with a grey slate effect roof.

1980
Sindy’s stable was now made of vinyl plastic with opening sides to give easy access. A horsebox was also introduced. The horsebox could hold 2 horses and could be attached to Sindy’s buggy with a towbar.

1981
Sindy got a kitten! The kitten (again nameless) was introduced as part of the ‘Wall of Sound’ scenesetter and could actually make a purring sound when sat next to the fireplace.

1982
A big year for Sindy’s pets. A horse and gig was launched. The horse was a dapple grey colour with a rooted mane and tail, and came complete with a maroon gig for Sindy to sit in.

You could also buy the dapple grey horse or black/brown horse separately and the gig could also be bought on it’s own, only it was blue instead of maroon.

Finally a new dog was introduced as part of the ‘Walk in the park’ set. The dog was styled on a red setter and came complete with a lead.

1983
A new stable was introduced as part of the Super Home system. The stable extension was half stable and half garage and had two brown plastic stable doors with feeding boxes.

1984
Three more new equestrian items were launched. The first was a poseable horse which had a moveable head. The second was a foal in chestnut brown. Lastly a Gymkhana set with a three bar jump, the dapple grey horse and the 2 outfits from the 1984 ‘Showjumper’ set.

1986
Even Sindy’s horses didn’t escape the ‘pink treatment’! A horse named Star was introduced along with a foal. The horses were caramel brown with blonde manes/tails and pink saddlery. These 2 items replaced all the previously available horse accessories.

1991
‘Sindy and Scotty’ were no longer exclusive to Woolworths. Scotty now wore a black and white dogtooth coat which matched Sindy’s ‘Chanel’ type outfit.

1993
‘Sindy and Gogo’ were launched. Gogo was a fluffy, white, battery operated dog which would walk when the lead was put in Sindy’s hand.

1994

A new horse called Tiffany was introduced.

1999

Vivid launched their own horse for Sindy. A new vet Sindy was launched and came complete with 4 puppies that had surprise collars which when placed in warm water turned pink or blue.
