I made two cookers from the designs at Ravindra Pardeshi's homepage.First I made the
smallest version, 60 cm diameter.Then 80 cm diameter.They both work very well.Two
hours without turning, this is usually more than enough to cook a meal.

Today is my second day using this cooker. I don't know if it can boil water in 50 minutes, but I did manage to boil 32 oz of water 3 times(starting temp. ~ 65 F) today, at least two times in 60 minutes. This was an *active* boil, and not just water sitting and hovering near During one of these times there was some cloud cover.

To the best of my recollection, I've never gotten this much water to boil in this little time with any other cooker that I've made. This  result is sensational given my local adversarial conditions: "milky" sky; stealth coastal clouds;  32 deg N. latitude; and winter sun.

bigger PSC because i'm in the parallel 30 so i'll buid a
48 sided 1.5 times bigger....

We very much need solar cookers to help save our trees and to lessen the labour of the women who traditionally go to fetch firewood. Alberto Chapola and I have now made a better big Parvati cooker 1.2 metres (4 feet) in diameter
