DEATHGUY, a band from Bangkok, Thailand who were known for playing melodic death/black. For those who heard their "The Legend of Romancer" will know their talent in invoking such style of atmosphere. But now, minus one member, they have disemboweled that image & totally assaults you with metal fury in Brutal Death Metal way!!! I have witnessed these guy's onslaught in the God Beheading Live Ritual last year, and now the only melody they can give is pure fucking terror! A new terror is brewing in the land of Siam, and they are already known as DEATHGUY!!!

Now, here is the interview with Thanit...

1. How are the members? Are the members from the old-deathguy the same as the terror feasting members of today? If not, can you tell the changes? -

Hailz Roy! We 're fucking well now in recording new stuffs here! Our members nowaday only three. In last album we were four. The one who leave is guitarist , Nuttaphum. He was out before we showed at Songkla Hell Fest last year. Now three of us that still in the band are Verapol - Krush Kill and Destroy , Zuppakit - Cerebral Assaulter and me Thanit - Vacuum Butchering , Cardiac Excavator.
Sure , We're Brutal Cannibal Terrors from Hell now. It's my honour to met you at God Beheading Live Ritual after hearing about you in underground scene for long time.

2. Why & when did you decided to fully disembowel the band to re-animate into a new form or style? Was it due to a major change in listening habits? -

Infact , We started to be more aggressive since finish 'The Secondary Quest' tape. As you see the bonus track 'Beheader' in brutal death style but the others in this release are melodic death/black. I think it's our progression of music. I feel that brutal music playing will be better for situation and attitude of us. Then we wrote new songs all in brutal death with some influences of thrash ,grind. New full length of us will release this summer. I hope so. We'll spread in the new scene , new people. I think everything is in great situation now.

3. It is totally far off from the 1st style of deathguy, why did you retain the name as deathguy is already known?

- I think we don't need to change the name. Even someone told that is very poor name. We just change our logo to match our style. And I fucking love this logo. that's another reason.

4. Do you feel now that this style is truly what you want to play? How can you differntiate your style now to other brutal music out there? Can you describe to those who haven't heard your mutation yet the signature Deathguy metal you want to be known now? -

Absolutely, We listen to many styles of music since we start the band. Brutal Death , Grind , Black Metal , Melodic stuffs...etc. In early times we like to combine every influences of us to be most varied music. But when the time pass we decide to extract our work to be more pure and do things really be brutal. For now Deathguy is Brutal Death that got influences from Deranged , Impetigo...etc. Old School Brutal Death also mixed in our style.

5. How about the hordes who liked your old style, does any one told you if they feel betrayed of the sudden change? How would you deal with it? What would you say to them?

- We changed the way to be more aggressive. I'm sure they are people who feel the sudden change 'cause it's ever happen after our change in 'The Second..' . Now we change again. I just said if you like the music in those releases. Keep you ears to still like it. But for this change of us. It's our deisre to walk in different way. I can't help if anyone didn't like it. We proud and absolutely feel great about our music now. So , If you feel good the old style of us. Keep those feeling in your heart. and stay be the one who you are. And we'll stay be the one who we are now and straight to the brutally way. That's all we love and proud. Thanks

6. I think when you played on the God Beheading Ritual the crowd is not yet familiar with your new music, am I wrong? but I saw them really banging & bashing their heads in the air, how do you feel about this huge acceptance?

- I think those people already saw our show before since early times we start to be brutal. Someone told me they very surprise about our band in this gig and they like it very much. When I'm on stage. I can't see people so well but I'm sure they feel good. For your words that you tell me about they looks not familiar maybe 'cause we play almost all new songs. However , Everyone enjoy in blasting fucking gig. That's enough

7. So what's going on now? I believe you have a 1 song sampler or a demo & actually working on a 3 split cd & a full lenght release release? Will you tell more all about these stuff? who will be releasing it, etc...

- About 3 ways split promo CD of Lacerate , She's Gore , Deathguy was out in few numbers last 2 years. It's for zines,label who like to know all 3 bands in early brutal activities. Lastest release of Deathguy is 'The Beast Zingle Promo' It's only one song inside 'The Beast' in demo recording sound. Now we're recording new full length which will release by Vrykoblast Productions / SingaHell. They're 8 brutally massacre tracks from Deathguy and a cover from Impetigo. I can't wait it!

8. What the hell happened after the gig? Did you guys got drunk? Fucked any whore? Burned anything alive? I know you hanged out with Mark Sawickis (Impetigo) probably Jerasak? Who are the other bands that you got to get drunk with?

- After the ritual we hang around with Mark , Sunyalux from Lacerate , Wuttikorn from Caloric (R.I.P.) .. We've a little Cannibal meal. Jerasak didn't come with us , he maybe back home with his brother. In another day after gig we also went to place that Impiety and Nechbeyth rest. It's great times with them for meeting and drinking. For Mark, He ever come to Thailand many times. Last time he was here in Bangkok before God Beheading Ritual. I also hang around with him and Sunyalux at Pat Phong, They're many sex show pub there. I hope I'll drunk with you someday, Brother Roy!

9. You are still with She's Gore, right? Truth is as of this writing I haven't heard she's Gore's music, I have read some reviews though. So pls give a descriptions of She's Gore & updates? And how about this new label? This is also your project?

Yes , It's my one man band in porno death metal/gore/grind. For now just only demo 2001 was released and it's almost sold out. However, next release of She's Gore is same 4 ways split of Lacerate , A Good Day for Killing , Deathguy & She's Gore.. You can check some details at She's Gore site. http://crash.to/shesgore It's no mp3 at the site. But I hope I'll upload some from She's Gore demo 2001 soon. For new label, If you mean ' Zilent Zlaughter Productions' It's my label. I run this label with Sunyalux from Lacerate. Just little distributions now but a exclusive tape of "Wizard of Gore : Tribute to Impetigo" will release soon. This'll be exclusive release because I'll put 'Carnibal Lust' in version that cover by Deathguy too.

10. It seems you are friends with Mark of Impetigo. And you did a cover of them. How much did they influence you, personally & as a band? I assune you are into all that is horror & gore? would you tell us other bands, movies, literature, etc.. who influenced the members to become what they are now?

We just meet him last year. He is very good guy. As for me, Impetigo lyrics is truely gore and sick. This influence drive me to write lyrics into cannibal feeling. For other bands that we like nowaday are also Deranged , Exhumed ,Disgorge (Mex)..etc. and we also get some influences from them and others brutal death bands too.

11. Now, year 2003 is dead, whats up for 2004? What are you guys unleashing to the brutal world?

Our Necromantic release will name "Concentrate The Annihilation" this will release after Vrykolakas album "Spawned from Hell Fire and Brimstone" .. It'll be Siamese Brutal stuff for all cannibal bloodlines in every hell pits on the planet Earth.

12. You will probably be doing more gigs in Thailand, Do you have plans playing in Singapore, Malaysia or Indonesia as you guys just have a land border with these nation? Does Philippines come to mind? (he he he but I hope when I'm home in the philippines!!!)

I always think of it .. Maybe after releasing album I hope we can tour in SEA. But just a plan now. If any organizer read this interview and interesting in our band. Please give me contact. We also need support about resting place and traveling. However, We can talk first. I hope we will have oversea show soon.

13. How about distribution of your merchandise, are there any labels/distro who are already carrying your stuff in their list?

I'm not sure. But I trade many of She's Gore demo CD and also covers for dubbing tapes and CDs. And also some T-Shirts of Deathguy too.

14. So Thanit, do you go to Saunas? How about the Thai massage, is it true that it is just a front for sex? Do you think metal heads should have all the beer & sex they can get?

For this case I think my Guitarist , Verapol can answer you perfectly! There are many massage place that also working for sex. Very easily to find at Rachadaphisek road. It's UTOPIA! (Eric Cheah call it!!) Many place like Poseidon , Emmanuel...etc. can feed your sexual need as much as you can. For Metal heads who like in Sex & Beers. Just stay walking on the way you are. But the protection and realise of true situation of yourself is also important. Don't let them consume you. But you can consume them..

15. By the way, what does the new deathguy's lyrics now pertain too? It has been months after the God beheading gig so the musick kinda slip away now but the images from it still lurks.. why did you used the masks? Is it to incite more terror?

We use mask to make us more unity of sickos and told people that we're new reincarnated not the same one . For our lyrics are into cannibal troops who create the war assault against other lifeforms especially human.

16. I saw some people using some handy cam on the gig, so do you have a video from that ritual? Are you gonna release it in some way?

My friend Wuttikorn from Caloric also got the video cassette of this live. But I didn't hear from him that he will release it official. For our band maybe I'll take some clips from our live to be bonus video clip in some release.

17. It's not easy to get drunk here but I did got so fucking drunk, collapsed on the floor & vomitted on my self! Of course I found that out the next morning! How's the new year in Bangkok? Was there a new year gig or something?

Did you get vomit drunk? Ha ha, I also got experience like that. But not in newyear day. It's my birthday 4 years ago. I drink with Nuttaphum , ex. guitarist of us. I bang my head on my toilet floor and wear my short on my head but other part of bodies are all naked. And Nuttaphum also vomit from 2nd floor of my house to the street in front of the house. I woke up on bed with my vomit beside my head. That's fucking good experience
