AUTOEROTICASPHYXIUM - Issue#11.44 Pages, b/w, full a4 (folded a3) very clear copy. Simple layout but as effective as a shot in the arm if you are looking for a dose of underground metal! And not only metal, you get some punk & hardcore too! One of the open minded zines out there who deals with all persona of metal, bands, zinesters, metal radios, etc. Also. The zine started with the short story of the tragedy that befall Pantera. I have never been into Pantera but this kind of incident is just another horror of reality that we live in. It sometimes happens to others or it sometimes happens to us. For the zine, I like the continuity of finishing an interview without having to flips more pages to find the continuation. As I said, simple but deadly. Interviews featured here are Blood Red Throne, Callenish Circle (One of the intie I enjoyed reading as it feels unpretentious & spontaneous.), Chris Caffery, Darkseed, Down Low, Emok, Godless Truth, Jen's Metal Page, Level Six, Of Infinity, Solarfall Radio & TrendCrusher Zine. UNHALLOWED #666 / RUPTURED #2 - 48 Pages, A4, pro-print like a newsprint. Well, I have heard of split releases but this is the first time I got to read a split zine. These zines has a handfull of members, almost 10 people in combined numbers. Ruptured zine is the first to show its side with Hearse, Goratory, Dark Tranquility, Cryptic Warning, Warblade, Into Eternity. Unhallowed got Metal War Productions, Helloween, Exodus, Atomizer, Nunslaughter. Both sides have reviews for Music & Fanzines. The reviews are all text, mixed in length & style 'coz of the different people doing it. Best reads for me here are Metal War Productions (Total U/G attitude!), Nunslaughter & Cryptic Warning! METAL HAVOC # 5 pages, A4, b/w copied. A mix of pc written but layed-out in cut-n-paste style. This zine is getting stronger & better, in layout, style yet still solid in attitude of anti-poser slaughter! Interviews metal attitude introspection & sometimes even confrontational. Great reads here are the Sabbat/Metalucifer, Chemikiller, Corrupt Insanity, Empty & Doomstone. Others featured bands are Negatron, Beast Petrify, Deadhead zine, Seasons of the Wolf, Chamber69, Obliterate & Wolfcry. You will also get music, zine revs & the regular 'From the past reborns the storm', plus some flyers, contacts & rip-off alerts. Some photos of Vro & Nonoy (Paganfire) with Michael Oelschlegel (Premonition Rec-Germany) on the editors page. Oh yeah, as mentioned on that page, an interview of a local band there (End of Man) was supposed to be in this issue, why didn't it push through? The editor said it himself, no question or explanations to be given. IMPALED ZINE's NEWSLETTER - Issue#6. 12 pages, A4, b/w copied. This has no interviews only reviews (zine, music & the Cavite Metal Assault Gig), some band info & loads of contacts. This is originally typewritten, so a good text size and no space is wasted but it is a bit confusing & eye tiring in parts that is hard to instantly see where one ends & the other start.
