I've mostly ignored him but now this is getting beyond ridiculous or, if it was already beyond ridiculous, now it's really, really beyond ridiculous!

Given the amount of free time he seems to have on his hands, he's not going to stop. He's like an ingrown toe-nail. He's going to get worse and worse unless he's taken out.

I don't even think he believes what he's really saying half the time. He's just trying to impress everyone else on TK.

If it were up to me (and it's obviously not), I'd have every moderator vote yes/no on a ban for wordin.

I think we take wordin far too seriously. Yeah, he makes trouble in MA and QSF, but that's why we have MA and QSF. He doesn't participate in spam attacks. IIRC he has no dual usernames. Doesn't stalk or otherwise harrass members. And as long as he confines his crap to QSF and MA he doesn't bother the general membershi (y'know, the people we're here to serve?).

Overall, wordin is pretty harmless. Ban him, don't ban him. Doesn't make much difference. He'd be back with a dual in a week or less. As long as we can confine his bullshit to MA and QSF he'll do no real harm.

He only gains in power if we take him too seriously. He's actually quite entertaining. I'm particularly enjoying his explosion over me supposedly calling him a 'dumbass.' It's hillarious. Allow him to scream at the wind and eventually people will see him for the silly little brat that he is. Shut him up and he'll gain much more credibility with TK than he will if we let him continue as is. '

I'd rather have 10 wordin's than 1 OneofRyan or Slarus. It's those type of trolls that really disrupt a board because they invade threads out in the real forums and detract from what people come here for. Nobody in their right mind would come to this board just to participate in QSF and MA. And for those that do, having wordin disrupt their threads is probably a blessing in disguise.

I'm not saying we should ignore him so he'll go away. I'm saying to take him less seriously. I swear, people talk about him as if he were RQ reincarnated.

Agreed... behind his flowery prose, he presents himself as nothing more than a spoiled child whining to a teacher, "Somebody stole my juice money!" He's nothing to get in a huff about at all.

A thread complaining about the closing of a thread complaining about the closing of a thread. Only one word describes this sort of nonsense: wordin.

Nahhh... I doubt he really cares all that much about my reactions. Let him wear himself out. He's just going to prove what we have said all along, despite his claims that I am confirming TK's stereotypes of TrekBBS mods.

Look.... the more we discuss him, the more we allow him to have an undue influence on what goes on. If he comes up with a legitimate grievance then by all means that should be addressed. Otherwise,..... forget it.

I know, I know; just what constitutes "legitimate".

wordin's pretty harmless, let's face it. He wants attention, and that's about it. Most of his claims are paranoid delusions that he wants to believe are true, but in the long run, hold no water.

When we discover that he has more usernames, or in some way malicous, then we shoudl worry about him.

And yes, I think it's pretty much a given that he does have extra usernames, this is just one of them. His flowery wording kinda remind me of a few other people who've come around to cause problems, but we'll have to see what happens, eh?

Quite honestly, it strikes me that many of our permabanned trolls over at the evil board now consider him a joke, and indeed it seems people in MA are waking up to his childish behaviour too. He'll get bored sooner or later, either that, or he'll be laughed out of town

Are you sure they really feel that way and aren't trying to pull a fast one?

In private, many folks are rightfully blaming him for the loss their over-long threads. Didn't win him very many points with the MA Peanut Gallery, I'm afraid.
