Posting the title as he did was a certain magnet for hostility. Only if one went to the link and recognized the satire was the potential hostility abated. That might or might not have occurred as the thread grew longer. A different, less inflamatory title linking to the same site would have been fine.

I don't see why the title is outrageous. Surely no-one is going to believe that Berman really said that? If they felt anger, then they'd surely visit the thread and see it was a parody.Why, for the majority of people, would hostility continue once they realised it was a joke? If they did feel hostile and didn't click on the link, how was it actually going to affect anyone? The title was essentially the same as that of the article. If the article is okay, then how can the title of the thread be considered near trolling, but the article not? So many questions...

Mutai re-opened the one in Enterprise.Aatrek closed the one in Nemesis. As one door closes, another one opens.
