Does Everyone in the ENT forum...
      #356690 - 2002/09/18 04:04 PM

hate each other? It seems like half of the threads I've been in today involve one poster getting on another one's case, or being snide about each other's points. And it just goes downhill from there...UGH!!!

Sorry, guys, just letting off a little steam. But where's the love in ENT?

Sucker!!!

It does seem a polarised forum, but I suspect they all actually enjoy it that way.

I blame Enterprise itself. It's all conflict.

Yep, it's kind of like Mac users vs. PC users...only 1000x worse.

Some of these people actually hate each other, though. It's so extreme!

I'll let you moderate the Voyager forum for a while. People not only hate each other, but they also think the moderator are biased for the people they hate. Both sides.

One big group hug everyone!!!

^Oh, we've got a moderator action thread complaining that we're biased today. Though I don't doubt you've got it worse, since (and while it's hard to believe it's possible, it is!) the Voyager bashers are more vocal and feverent than the Enterprise bashers.

Too bad we don't have a Fight Forum, where these folks could duke it out to their heart's content...and the folks who don't care about the fighting or actually want to post could be left in peace.

I suspect that the ENT forum will settle somewhat once the new season starts. As for the MA thread about bias, it's a very common theme that will appear and re-appear frequently. It's a pity they couldn't keep a schedule like Brigadoon's .....

Yeah, I left way back in the fall. No one wants to hear criticism. *chuckle* You're a basher or a gusher. There's no middle ground. Then I lost it with "Fusion," so I'm now a Enterprise troll, according to the email I've received from some folks.

I sure hope it settles down...I guess people will actually have something to talk about other than "what happens to the poo in the 22nd century" and "will Trip/T'Pol/Hoshi/Porthos do a nude scene" (paraphrases and exaggerations of actual topics in the ENT forum).

Yep, the forum really is polarized. If you critique the show, you're a basher; if you compliment it your a gusher. It's a shame really, because I sense there are some middle of the road folks who get lumped into one category or the other when they really shouldn't be.

LOL! Welcome to the wonderful world of ENT.

Get used to it. The behaviors will always be there, but with new shows coming on, hopefully a few good things will be mixed in with the usual load of rubbish.

^ Yep, the good thing is there do seem to be quite a few earnest posters. Thank goodness!

Thanks, guys, for the encouragement. It's been a loooong afternoon in ENT. Bring on the premiere!

The Sho-Rin is back in town for 3 1/2 days. I'll be extra vigilant until we take off on our 25th anniversary holiday on Sunday.

Going through preschool once was enough for me. That's how I view the ENT Forum!

^No, I'm here too! Gosh, now I know the meaning of a busy forum!

But it's a lot of fun--new topics popping up every minute...it's cool!

Back into the fray!

^^^ Gee are you sure you don't want to mod the MA forum? It's sooooo much easier and more pleasant than ENT.......

As someone with mixed feelings about ENT, I stay out of there. It just isn't for the timid. Like I don't go in TNZ. (Ok, not often, anyways). Moderation isn't a word these folks know. I remember when I was young and angry like that. Well, no, I was never that angry .

Nope, I wasn't on ICQ. I only have it at work--if I'm on at night, it's either from my parents' computer (where I do have AOL IM) if I'm visiting them, or one of my neighbors' computers at my apt. building.

Neroon, MA is all yours! Besides, it's usually all roses and posies in there, anyways, ins't it?
