I will be busy...
      #356828 - 2002/09/23 01:51 AM

I case I have not told y'all yet, I have received a promotion at work. And for the next 6 weeks I will be a busy little beaver.

I will still be able to check Trek Lit a couple of time a day, but I will not be able to be online as much as I have been before, especially during that important late-night EST time (I am literally going to have to sleep during that period).

So all I ask is if any admins see something 'not right' in trek lit during this period, I have no problems if you close/change/warn/etc it, (you will not be stepping on my toes - in fact you will be helping me out).

What, you think some other-worldly promotion gives you the right to shirk your duties here? As if you're the only person to ever have to balance a real-life upgrade with his blood oath here at TREK BBS??

I for example, ascended from Fry Cook to Filet-O-Fish Maker at McDonald's...with absolutely no adverse repercussions felt by my Moderator colleagues. No one ever had to carry my load for me; I assure you, Mxy never once felt any undue burden because of my increased responsibilities. (And if questioned, I know he'll back me up on that claim. ) I always got my job done -- both of them.

What's that you say? Filet-O-Fish Maker "doesn't compare" to what you do? Well... You think it's easy juggling both the Moderating needs of the VOY Forum, and the Filet-O-Fish needs of America?? All I have to say to that is... Walk a mile in my shoes, mister! The VOY Forum doesn't mod itself, dammit! And those delicious fish sandwiches certainly don't just appear out of thin air!! Reza may need to be told he's being a jackass...and meanwhile, little Suzie Jacobsen may be in desperate need of a Filet-O-Fish sandwich -- I swear, sometimes, it feels as though I'm carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders!

But do you see me bitching about it? Do you see me starting up threads saying how I just can't handle the enormous workload?? Hell no!!

We McDonald's crew are obviously made of much sterner stuff than than the likes of Evil Robert, and his pathetic Burger King compadres. Your flame-broiled work ethic makes me sick, you sonofabitch!

Congrats on the promotion, Robert.

And thanks to worm boy for reminding me why I should post in VOY more often.
