PM Problem--Oh Charles!
      #774129 - 2003/02/12 10:51 AM

I was trying to reply to a person who sent me a PM and got the following error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /var/www/html/virt/trek/trekbbs.com/public_html/threads/mess_handler.php on line 96

Something isn't happy.

^That happened to me, too, a few times. I think it means they have PMs turned off. Posters can still send PMs even if they're not receiving them, I guess.

I think Top means anyone can send them, but not everyone has turned on their ability to receive them. i.e. They can send stuff to you, but you can't send stuff to them if they have the receiving option off.

It still shouldn't be producing an error under these circumstances, so it is a bug.

Aye, it is indeed a bug. Now I wonder why it's broken like that...

It only happens sporadically. I got the error replying to trekaholic. Ten minutes later, I replied to Huntingdon just fine.
