"Linking to Adult Material"

Hey there, yellow-named types.
Someone posted in SF/F asking for links to NC-17 rated fan fiction. Several users have responded with links.
I wasn't sure if this was one to shut down. Everyone's being pretty mature about it, and there are no images involved, but it is adult material.
After consulting a fellow mod, I decided to close the thread for now, until someone with real, glorious power shows up to pass judgement.
So what do you guys think? Here is the thread in question.

I tend to turn a blind eye to them in fic (though in fact we get very few), provided the links are genuinely to fanfic. If I didn't, a huge proportion of the fic on the net would be blocked out - well over half. I think it's generally known that that's the policy we adopt in fic. I insist such links are clearly and suitably marked, and I don't allow adult material to be posted on the board.
Maybe you shoud just throw the thread over to me, anyway?

That's a good idea.
The rules do say no linking to R or NC-17 material. Does that mean photos only, or stories too?

I assume it means all 'adult material'. That can include excessive violence, as well as sexually explicit material, written or visual (or even technically auditory...  ). However, I think it's always been known and accepted by the Ones With Yellow Names what my policy is in the fic forum. And it would solve the problem on this thread nicely :-)

I wouldn't have moved the thread anywhere, simply because of what the Board Rules do say about the material. This may make me seem overtly prudish, but do we really need that stuff anywhere on this board?

I think RevdKathy's solution works nicely. There is a lot of fan fic that includes graphic battle scenes, which does qualify as adult material, as well as some adult (not porn) situations.

What you say about that sort of material is true, but it's pretty clear from the original post that the user wasn't looking for "battle scenes."
