by admiralelectron is about to send me over the edge. Granted, I haven't checked my e-mail in four days but for crying out loud, I had half a dozen "admiralelectron wanted you to check out this thread" mails from him.
I am guessing this is par for the course for him because I have yet to check my mail and NOT have a notification from him.
His whining about the cursing and everything that might be remotely serious is really getting annoying to the point that even other posters are ragging on him for it.
Is there any way we could tell him to chill out a bit? Or just take away his ability to use that blasted button? I would understand better if the topics were really offensive, but notifying mods that someone reprinted a novel excerpt with permission is hardly something to whine about.
His thread in MA about Vash is just the latest. He realy takes prudishness to an extreme.
(Yes, I am less cranky now and back on drugs. couldn't make it through the day without one.  )

Kass, I know what you mean. Turns out that Jammer isn't the only other mod in the DS9 forum - we have TWO "assistant mods" as well: admiralelectron and baba.
I got SIX (yes, you read it right - SIX!) emails/PM's from baba alone yesterday - giving me blow by blow updates of all the happenings in the DS9 forum, along with his sage advice on how to handle each situation.
I'm not really sure what he is trying to accomplish, but whatever it is, it's kinda getting to be a tad annoying.
I certainly can appreciate members wanting to alert us to various situations, and that assistance is much appreciated when the situation requires immediate attention. But SIX emails from a single person in one day? In the DS9 forum??? On a day when there was no porn attacks or anything? I don't know.....but that seems a tad excessive.
I'm not quite sure what to do except let him continue to PM/email me non-stop. I guess the members have a right to contact us whenever they feel the need. But really, everything he emailed me about was either a) a non-issue where he didn't like someones *opinion* so was calling them a troll or b)updates on threads I was already watching like a hawk due to content considerations and potential arguments erupting.
Anyway, as long as you broungt this up, I was wondering if he is doing this with others of you.
And if so, what are you doing about it, anything?

It wouldn't be so bad if there was actually something offensive in the posts, but I get referals from "LOL smiley" posts. I've gotten them for several posts in the Longest Thread ever.
Most of them, I can't even find anything remotely offensive. I've been sorely tempted to e-mail admiralelectron back with three little letters: "WTF?" He'd prolly complain about the implied foul language, though.
I've only gotten one alert from baba. Thankfully, he seems to be leaving Misc. alone.

I'm a little surprised by the sudden rash of comments from admiralelectron - they don't seem to match up with the character he's been showing in the lounges.
As for baba, let him know you're not going to play along and he drops it, or he did for me.
Not that the lounges are usually controversial...

I told baba to cut out his three threads a day thing because there wasn't any content to them, and we all know he's just doing it to up his post count. He stopped....for about three days. Now he's back at it. I know he was doing that in the Lounges, too. I've wanted to warn him for a really long time.

Am I the only one spared from stuff like this? Sure, I get e-mails from admiral electron, but I respond right away and tell him why what he's complaining about is perfectly fine. And I don't get them that often. I've never gotten a PM from baba or electron either. In fact, I've never ever been here during a TrekBBS porn attack.
Is there some great BBS god that's looking over me?
