Rob Trentadue, the man who brought "MAP" to the world, has done it again! "I Rock" is more like a greatest hits compilation than a new album. It is a retrospective look at the life of The Beef in song. They're all here, from his favorite TV show songs, to his Kenny G Rogers stint. The album acts as an insight to Trentadue's psyche. The hatred for Adam Glenn and Chris Morris is displayed in some tracks, including a mockery of We Can't Canoe As Friends Anymore. His love for Sailor Moon is shown in 6 parts. Perhaps the most disturbingly dark track is "Do me up the bum". Surprisingly, the album's cover doesn't sport a parental advisory logo. This song came from Trentadue's darkest most experimental period of his career. When he was angry at the world, mostly for stealing his Pepsi and spilling ketchup on his Taco Bell dog t-shirt. Trentadue even pays tribute to Weird Al, by covering Another One Rides The Bus and Like A Surgeon in a more accapella style. The covers continue with "Kyle's Mom", a song made famous on the South Park TV show. Rob's talent on the piano is evident on all the Sailor Moon parts and "Absolutely Perfect", the latter of which is the theme music for the late Mr. Perfect. He tickles the ivories even more on Rob Chop Stop. The best part of the album is when Trentadue makes fun of Josh Clements on a track called "Bonk". This track features special guest Adam Thom. Overall, "I Rock" is one of the most interesting cds ever made. If it's not in your collection, you're not a true Robertmaniac. 7 out of 10 mullets on the mullet meter.
