Public Law 88-647 passes Congress in 1964 authorized the establishment of JROTC programs by Navy,Air Force, and Marine Corps in addition to those programs sponsored by the Army. The first Naval juinor Reserve offcers Training Corps (NJROTC) programs began in 1966. Today over 425 NJROTC programs are established in high school in the United States, District of columbia, Guam, Japan, and Italy.
