GEORGE HAYDN HUNTLEY '27mcl, Ph.D. '33, died July 14, 2001, in Hinsdale, Ill. He was professor emeritus of art history at Northwestern University, where he taught from 1946 to 1973. Earlier he taught at Washington University, in St. Louis, and the University of Chicago. An authority on Italian Renaissance and nineteenth-century art, he was the author of two books on sculptor Andrea Sansovino. He was past president of the Midwest College Art Conference and the Newberry Library Renaissance Conference, vice president of the College Art Association of America, and editor of the College Art Journal. He leaves two daughters, Mary Kaufman and Margaret Travelli, a son, John, and a sister, Juanita Watts, A.M. '28.
