Obama for President
Topic: Politics
Below are a few lines from Obama's books, his words....draw your own conclusions as to whether or not he should be considered for President of the United States, of a country at war with Muslim extremists:
From Audacity of Hope: "I will stand with the Muslims should political winds shift in an ugly direction."
From Dreams of My Father: "I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites."
From Dreams of My Father: "I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race."
From Dreams of My Father: "It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names."
From Dreams of My Father: "I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa, that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, Dubois and Mandela."
From Dreams of My Father: "There was something about him [the man] that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white."
His books tell their own stories, and they make it indelibly clear why he is right at home in Reverend Wright's Trinity United Church of Christ, and the credo proudly proclaimed on the church's website, a church which unapologetically excludes from membership any and all persons who are non-black or have no African ancestors. Christians can search the bible over but won't find any scripture advocating or condoning the inclusion of one race only, to the exclusion of all others, in God's Kingdom.
"We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community."
The Pastor as well as the membership of Trinity United Church of Christ is committed to a 10-point Vision:
- A congregation committed to ADORATION.
- A congregation preaching SALVATION.
- A congregation actively seeking RECONCILIATION.
- A congregation with a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA.
- A congregation committed to BIBLICAL EDUCATION.
- A congregation committed to CULTURAL EDUCATION.
- A congregation committed to the HISTORICAL EDUCATION OF AFRICAN PEOPLE IN DIASPORA.
- A congregation committed to LIBERATION.
- A congregation committed to RESTORATION.
- A congregation working towards ECONOMIC PARITY.

The ranks of Sen. Barack Obama's supporters in his bid to become president of the United States have been found to include a white priest of a mostly black church who has links to Nation of Islam chief Louis Farrakhan and an apparently low level of tolerance for the 2nd Amendment.
The supporter is Father Michael Pfleger, a white Roman Catholic priest of the predominantly African-American St. Sabrina Church on Chicago's South Side.
Pfleger currently is listed on Obama's 2008 presidential campaign website as being one of the "people of faith" who endorse Obama's campaign.
The endorsement includes a photo of Pfleger and a testimonial in which Pfleger compares Obama to Robert F. Kennedy, "I haven’t heard anyone since Robert F. Kennedy who is causing such an emotional awakening to the political possibilities."
According to the Chicago Tribune, Pfleger gave Obama political contributions of $1,500 between 1995 and 2001, including $200 in April 2001, about three months after Obama announced $225,000 in grants to St. Sabina programs
This man wants to be President of the USA. This man who will not have an American flag in his lapel, will not cross his heart during the national anthem, did not swear in on the Bible, & apparently cannot use a telephone.
This man who has not divorced himself or family from Rev. Wright.
Also see Michelle Obama about her thesis & just now feeling like an American.
Obama mentioned his church during his appearance with Oprah. It's the Trinity Church of Christ. I found this interesting. Obama's church: Please read and go to this church's website and read what is written there. It is very alarming. Barack Obama is a member of this church and is running for President of the U.S. If you look at the first page of their website, you will learn that this congregation has a non-negotiable commitment to Africa. No where is AMERICA even mentioned. Notice too, what color you will need to be if you should want to join Obama's church... B-L-A-C-K!!! Doesn't look like his choice of religion has improved much over his (former?) Muslim upbringing. Are you aware that Obama's middle name is Mohammed? Strip away his nice looks, the big smile and smooth talk and what do you get? Certainly a racist, as plainly defined by the stated position of his church! And possibly a covert worshiper of the Muslim faith, even today. This guy desires to rule over America while his loyalty is totally vested in a Black Africa! I cannot believe this has not been all over the TV and newspapers. This is why it is so important to pass this message along to all of our family & friends. To think that Obama has even the slightest chance in the run for the presidency, is really scary. America's infatuation with Barack Obama continues. But why? I've yet to hear him say anything to cause me to vote for him. I see little in his background to make me think he'd be a good president. His chief message seems to be the collective power of positive thinking. We have a president like that. Look at the mess he's made of things. Why would we want another president like that?
Our current president recently said America is safer and the world is better off because of the war in Iraq. No, it isn't. Then he said the economy is strong. No, it isn't. Our president has told us that America doesn't torture it's war prisoners. Yes,it does .. And on and on and on. His thinking these things doesn't make them so.
Check out www.barackobama.com. Read the quote at the top of his home page: "I'm asking you to believe. Not just in my ability to bring about change in Washington..I'm asking you to believe in yours."
But what would Obama do? Who would he bring to the table? These questions are nearly impossible to answer. But we can at least infer, or less likely, he could tell us, which I doubt he is prepared to do.
When presidents are elected, they bring their closest advisers, loyalists, big fund-raisers, friendly captains of industry and commerce, and so on, with them. Pick a post~World War II president and look at who they brought to the table. President Kennedy brought his brothers, his Eastern Establishment Ivy League Whiz Kids and big money· President Carter brought his Georgia good ol'boy buddies with him along with a smattering of leftist establishment thinkers.
Who are Obama's loyalists who are likely to be at the presidential table? For that we have to look at Washington ... After graduating with a degree in political science from Columbia University in 1983, he worked for a company called Business International Corporation that provided international business information to companies. Then he spent time with the New York Public Interest Research Group (NYPIRG).
What, then, makes Hillary Clinton or John McCain better candidates? If I ask what we would get if we elect Hillary, some of you would cheer and some would cry out,"oh, nooooo!" But everyone knows what we would get. She would steer us toward a national health care plan. She would begin to bring the troops home from Iraq. She would work to roll back tax cuts for the rich, probably raise taxes and strengthen the nation's social programs.
And what if we elect McCain? He would keep us in Iraq, what, for 100 years? He would keep the tax cuts. He would turn to the private sector to fix the health care system, despite its proven inability to fix the problem so far. He would be a strong advocate for our military. He would make securing our nation's borders a top priority.
Another question: If they get elected, who would these candidates bring to the table to run the country? Again, we know the answers. Hillary would bring Bill and many of the same folks who served in previous Clinton administrations. I question how much longtime Clinton supporters, party stalwarts and loyalty Democratic Party stalwarts would have for people of similar philosophical bent. After all, that is what George Bush did, and it surprised no one.
We know these things because we know these candidates & we know what they really stand for-deep inside.
The above is from Tom Bohs of the Jackson Sun newspaper.
Senator Obama cannot be held responsible for the outrageous racist & unAmerican statements of J. Wright. But how could he have this bigot marry him, baptize his children, & sit in the pews for (20) years listening to hatred of white people and America?? The U.S. Gov't created the AIDS virus to wipe out the black people & America deserved the 911 attack.
So Obama sat in the pews for (20) years & said nothing until some of Wright's statements became public. And he now says that if Rev. Wright had not retired that he would have switched churches. What a joke!! This shows how much he thinks of the white people intellect. How can a President belong to a church that preaches racial hatred??
White people must really hate Hillary. And Obama, as well as McCain, is getting a free pass from the media.
Rev. Wright honored Louis Farrakhan, followed teachings of John Cone, was consulted by Obama before running for the Presidency, & is Obama's spiritual advisor. Obama was in Farrakhan's march.
Obama did not hesitate to say Don Imus should be fired & asserted, "There is nobody on my staff who would still be working for me if they made any comment like that about anybody of any ethic group." Except Rev. Wright is "an old uncle who says things I do not always agree with." A double standard as this is very disturbing.
