SACRED STEEL "Slaughter Prophecy" LP Massacre
Perhaps some of you will be irritated by some death metal parts as in the
(killer!) "Slaughter Prophecy". I have no problem with that, because these
parts remind more of Possessed and old Death than the boring death scene
since '93. But this new album is mainly about first class metal ("Sacred
Bloody Steel", "Lay Me To My Grave"), the band offering stronger than hell
tracks ("Faces Of The Antichrist", "Let The Witches Burn") and merciless
skullcrushers ("The Rites Of Sacrifice", "Pagan Heart"). Glorious anthems
are "Raise The Metal Fist" and "Crush The Holy, Save The Damned" (the bonustrack
lp is not a filler, but one of the album highlights! Yeah, fuck cd's slaves!).
The long but never boring final track is the superb epic "Invocation Of The
Nameless Ones". SACRED STEEL rules! Although "Slaughter Prophecy" is an essential
album, I must acknowledge I still await the worthy successor of the fantastic
"Wargods Of Metal", and I know these german warriors can do this...
