The DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities and La Maison Française present a Groove Gumbo, a spicy flavor of music and artistic expression for this year’s Fête de la Musique 2003. This free event will be filled with a mixture of Rhythm & Blues, Jazz, Hip Hop, poetry and dancing. Come and celebrate the soulful rhythms of our city and discover the exciting local musicians and performers at this special event in honor of the Fête de la Musique. Cash bar and buffet available on the premises.

Fete de la Musique originated in France in 1982 and has expanded to include more than 100 countries, including Germany, Great Britain, Spain, Japan and Italy. Throughout the world, the priority is to expose listeners to a wide variety of musical styles and traditions by making it free and accessible to all.

Bastille Day 2003
Bastille Day celebrates the storming of the Bastile prison in 1789. It was a turning point in French history when French citizens rebelled from the ruling monarchy and chose democracy. In celebration of this truimph we will celebate on Saturday July 12th at__________________________________
