Stages Of Pregnancy

As this site is new and gathering information, here is our first piece of information entitled:

WHEN THE TIME COMES

When the time comes that you need to go to the hospital to give birth, chances are that you will probably be in a rush. You may forget the most simplest of items which could have been used, or something far more important, like your camera. So plan ahead, make sure that everything that you will need will be with you, and not sitting on the kitchen counter at home.

For Mom, During Labour
WaterProof Pads for the car journey. Keep these in a handy easy to reach place.
Oil for massage, unscented
lip Balm, tooth brush & toothpaste
Gown or Robe
Warm sock or slippers
Shower cap
Ice pack, or similar to relieve back pains
Hair Clips or ties
Tapes, CD's or relaxing music
Favorite Juice or electrolyte-balanced beverage
(Gatorade)
Pillows from Home


For Dad
Watch with second hand
Tooth Brush, tooth paste, Brush etc.
Food for snacks, (Sandwich, fruit...)
Change of clothes and a sweater
Paper and Pencil, books or magazines for reading
Camera/Video recorder
Telephone Numbers of family and friends


For Mom, postpartum
Front opening gown, for breast feeding
Cosmetics, toilet articles slippers
Nursing Bra's
Favorite snacks
Reading and writing materials, address book, birth announcements
Going-home clothing, you will still look 5-6 months pregnant


For baby
Car seat (this should be correctly installed in the car prior to the due date)
Receiving blanket for baby
Outside blanket, bunting, booties and cap for baby
Going home outfit, nightgown or stretch suit
Undershirt
Diapers
