QUINCY IN BAY CITY: A Drabble.

"Officers," Dr. Quincy, who had recently moved his practice to Bay City, Illinois, announced to a group of policemen and women from the 23rd Precinct, "you are about to enter the most exciting sphere of police work.... the world of forensic medicine."

With those words, he removed the sheet and revealed the dead body.

Josie, Toni, Adams, Tibbs and every other cop in the room fell to the floor, sick.

The next day, Captain Joe Carlino told Dr. Quincy off in no uncertain terms.

"Now let's get something straight, Dr. Quincy." Joe said. "I don't appreciate your upsetting my officers!"
