The "Bible Code" is a way of looking for hidden prophecies and passages in the Bible, by using a software program to search for messages in the Old Testament Hebrew text. The spaces between words are eliminated, so that the Old Testament is a continuous block of Hebrew letters. Then, by skipping letters at a programmed interval, the program searches for words. There appear to be patterns to the passages where the words are found, and what words are clustered together. The Bible Code also works in English in the King James Bible, as I show with the Bible Code matrices on this site. This page 8d on the Bible Code includes matrices on Hurricane Katrina, a very destructive August 2005 hurricane which hit hard Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.
Also, on September 24 2005, a level 3 storm Hurricane Rita hit at the Texas-Louisiana border, after hitting the Florida Keys. And on Oct. 23 2005 Hurricane Wilma hit Florida as a Magnitude 3, also hitting hard Cuba, after hitting Cancun and Cozumel in the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico.
The following Bible Code searches were done with Codefinder Bible Code software, on the King James Bible in English, where I have found the Bible Code also works. Also see the other pages on the King James Bible Code:

Hurricane Katrina
By using Bible code software I searched for some words in the King James New Testament and Old Testament (separately). I found that there is evidence of English Bible code patterns that the software found by skipping varying intervals, in the King James Old Testament or New Testament, made into a block of solid text. On this page I show matrices on Hurricane Katrina, a 2005 Hurricane which hit Southern Florida as a Category One, and then as a Category Four hit New Orleans ("The Big Easy"), Louisiana, Alabama (especially Mobile), and Mississippi, on August 29 2005, causing wide destruction.
Hurricane Katrina as a giant hurricane hit New Orleans, Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi, causing catastrophic disaster and flooding New Orleans. It is likely to be the worst natural disaster in American history. My best wishes and hope for better times to the people who live in the areas hit by this hurricane. In terms of Biblical prophecy I would relate Hurricane Katrina to Revelation 12:14, 15:
"14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood."
Here the great eagle could be the U.S., and the flood could be Hurricane Katrina. This could indicate a saviour will come out of the U.S., and the serpent is therefore attacking the U.S. by natural disasters, terrorism, etc.. In Revelation 12:1 the woman in heaven representing the Christian Church is described as having "the moon under her feet", note that New Orleans is called Crescent City, connecting it with the crescent moon. See the calendar page on other events near the time of this hurricane, and the Revelation 12 prophecy, that may relate to this megastorm occurring then. I think that this megastorm is another sign that we are now going through the End Times events described in the Bible's Book of Revelation, that will see the rise of the Antichrist (in Russia), the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (the Antichrist, war, economic disaster, and Death), the Battle of Armageddon, worldwide disasters including global warming, great storms, disease plagues, solar flares, asteroids hitting earth, terrorism; see the first page on more on this.
"16:13: And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
14: For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
16: And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon."
This first matrix on Hurricane Katrina is New Testament at Matthew 26:47 - Luke 14:26, and it includes search words:
-- KATRINA (ELS skip = 22689)
-- THERE AROSE A GREAT STORM OF WIND (from Mark 4:37, where a storm blows up and Jesus calms the storm)
And also in this matrix:
-- THE SIXTH HOUR (It made landfall in Louisiana before 6 AM local time on August 29. And before that it made landfall in Florida on Aug. 25 at 6-7 PM.)
Mark 4:35-41, about Jesus calming a storm, may indicate that the economic and social storm created by Hurricane Katrina will soon return to calm, so it gives people reason for hope:
"35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.
36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.
37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?"
The second matrix is Old Testament at Lament. 3:45 - Ezek. 30:12, and it includes search words:
-- KATRINA (ELS=-13809)
-- ORLEANS (in New Orleans)
And also:
-- GREAT WATERS
-- THE RIVERS
