Parallels
Our God never changes wherever we go

barcelona, spain you know that feeling when you just can't stop smiling? and when you're all warm inside and kind of giddy and just... HAPPY? that's how i'm feeling right now.

i had a "taste of heaven" this weekend in barcelona.

the camp had three different languages hitting at once -- spanish, filipino, and english. and, man, the Holy Spirit was truly there, allowing us to communicate,   literally using all three languages at once. we needed translations left and right. but God spoke for us! it was the coolest thing. all of the kids were filipino (except for my friend that came with me from bilbao -- she really liked it too) but they all spoke spanish. i just found that so cool whenever i heard them talking to each other... it's their language... it's just cool to think about that.

and i was reminded once again how beautiful the ministry of couples for christ is. we are all just one huge family. i love it. this camp took me back to memories of how chicago yfc started out... and my life and growth in yfc all these years. it's been 7 years... but it's all still the same. our God never changes... He still works just as powerfully every time, He still uses these same old talks to speak to his people, every time. He still causes people to laugh at the same traditional YFC jokes, He still touches people through the skits, through the singing of songs.. our God never changes. youth in the states are in a completely different "world" as the youth in spain.. but it's just the same... He works just the same... because in the end, all we are are just brothers and sisters in the same God. el mismo Dios.

wow... my heart is full, and i know why. it's like it's too good to be true... why is our God so good to us? and to think... this feeling i'm feeling is only a "taste!"... dude, i can't imagine what the real thing will be like... it blows me away.mary grace hermano
