Ah, September. That wonderful Fall month when everything quiets down, and you are left with peaceful memories of Summer and a bright eyed expectation of the season ahead.
If you're two years old of course.
For anyone else, September is HECTIC!!! The month when everything that
stopped for the summer starts up again. You find that once again you have
committed to a few too many things and are now rushing around desperately
trying to find time to wipe your butt after you go to the bathroom. Alternately,
you find you have committed to too little and are now bored out of your
mind because everyone else is rushing around hectically. But since you
have nothing to do, why not sign up for that
fascinating class on Conceptual Physics, or offer to coach that junior
baseball team, or travel to Mexico for a month... and you end up just as
busy as your friend over there with their pants around their ankles.
I have been trying desperately to avoid these twin traps and keep my life peaceful without being either bored out of my mind or pressured. I doubt I'll be bored, since I got many ideas of interesting things to do at Not Back To School Camp, which I came home from on the 5th. Wait... today is the second. I guess I'm still at Not Back To School Camp. Then how am I writing this e-mail, they don't have internet access there...
