When I became a fan of Beauty and the Beast I was 12 years old and in the 8th grade...I saw the third episode after my mom told me I might like this new show...I was immediately drawn into Catherine and Vincent's world...something about their love, their courage spoke to me...I knew then and there that was the love I wished in my own life. Well time goes on and I grew up and my dreams of castles, princes, fairies and this wondrous love began to fade into darkness...but I didn't realize there was a candle there buring in the darkness waiting to welcome me back.
After moving home from college and being generally disallusioned with the entire world I found myself watching "Masques" on Halloween...I was drawn back into the magic, into this wondrous love and I wondered were there any fans still out there nearly 12 years after it went off the air...
I did a search and found all these sites, Songs of the Bluebird in particular...and I found an email list that not only lead me to many, many friends, but also to my Vincent...the love I had dreamed of all those years ago.
On Catherine and Vincent's Anniversary I wish to start a guestbook that will become full of stories from fandom, stories of love and hope.
