Graphics
Need some images for your site? Here's the best sites to find graphics, clipart, and web sets.
The Sweet Shoppe is one of the best graphics sites out there. It is very well organized and includes backgrounds, welcome and enter signs, divider lines, web sets, and graphics.
Blue Designs has a ton of goodies too! They include backgrounds, welcome signs, dolls and copyright signs.
At Diane's Divine Designs, there is a multitude of graphics. Almost all are backgrounds, though there are a few divider lines and signs. I personally find it a little to big to navigate and find what you you are looking for easily.
Rainbow Sherbert does not have a very large collection, but everything included is very cute. It is mostly just graphics.
Hawaiin Passisions is a cute, medium-sized site. It has backgrounds, graphics, signs, dolls, and copyright signs.
Viki Mouse has "Web themes, Counter digits, Animations, web graphics & more. 10000+ free to use web animations, icons, and images." It is a very nice site, the rules, however, are very strict, so make sure you read them carefully.
Cute Colors is one of the best graphics sites and one of my personal favorites. Make sure you go to the "freebies" section, because most of the graphics are for purchase. Do note that the graphics are a little "kid-ish".
Graphic Garden is another cute, kiddy, site. It has a ton of cute teddy graphics. It is similar to Cute Colors, except almost everything is free.
Mimi's Graphic Shop is another of my favorites. It includes mostly animated cartoon characters, like Sailor Moon and Hello KItty. This site has great stuff, including backgrounds, banners, buttons, sets, graphics and animations!
A Special Wish by Yunsoo is a very cool site. It features mostly Asian cartoon characters and has graphics, backgrounds and sets.
Rizla has made an awesome graphics site. The Free Spree has all sorts of goodies, graphics, sets, etc. Be sure to check it out!
Starluck's Sweetwater Valley has the greatest backgrounds. They have a sort of fairy or enchanted theme to them. She has a ton of adoptions.
Tropical Nights has great tropical stuff. Sets, images, backgrounds, everything! The best place to look for tropical or beach graphics.
Star Baby Designs is awesome! It only has backgrounds though, the name is sort of misleading.
The free graphics at Maria's Homepage are awesome. She has images, 3-D graphics, buttons, and sets.
Lycentia's Web Graphics Site is the source for you Sailor Moon graphics! It has absolutely everything!
Kawaii Cloud has cute graphics featuring 80's cartoons such as Rainbow Bright, Strawberry Shortcake and Care Bears. It has mostly images.
LayoutsLayouts are a great way to make an organized and awesome looking page in no time. Finding the right one can often be a challenge. My site has a few simple table layouts, but if you don't like them, no offense taken. Here's links to the best layout sites I've found!
Sick of custom layout sites that never get back to you? Watermelon Bash makes great layouts, and you'll actually get them! The layout on my main page was made by her.
Layout Tech is my favorite layout site. They have tons! Another thing I like is that it is very well organized.
Layout Land has very nice layouts. They all have frames to the best of my knowledge. It is not organized that well, however, and does not have a very many layouts.
Layout Ahh is a fairly new layout site. It has cute layouts, but is pretty small.
HTML Help Sites
For all your basic HTML codes go to Funky Chickens, it is the best HTML site I've ever been to.
Roxy Doll 12 also has a vrey nice HTML site. It also contains just general site inforation about MIDI's, layouts, etc., in addition to a wide selection of codes.
I finally learned how to do frames at Deb*z Place, it was the only site that explained frames clearly.
Promotion
Made a gorgeous web site but no one is coming to it? Trust me, I know how it feels! Here's some tips to get your counter rolling on up!
Sign guest books, leave your site addy and politely ask people to visit.
Get sister sites. I'll be happy to be sister sites with you, so e-mail me. When you go to other sites, e-mail the owner and ask if you can be sister sites. It really does work.
If you ever stumble by an Add-A-Link page (I have one!), add your link! It only takes a minute and can't hurt.
Get some banner exchanges going! Exchange It is a good place to start.
Join i2u2me, it gets me an average of three hits a day, and while that seems like a little, it adds up.
Another good service is Click Thru, I just joined it, but you are supposed to get guaranteed hits, and since they emphasize it so much I doubt it is a lie.
I don't know the real effectiveness of submitting your site to search engines, everyone says to, so I figure it can't hurt. Submit your site with Add Me.
