The party was loud, crazy, and yet so much fun. Destiny, Megan and Hunter had made their grand entrance at seven fifteen sharp. To Destiny’s suprise and delight, there was a lot of new guys that she had never met before. Probably another school region she figured.
"I’m going over there with Hunter. Will you be okay?" Megan hollered over the blaring music.
"Yeah. I’ll be fine," Destiny hollered back as she watched the two dance away into the sea of teenagers.
She began looking around, her sea green eyes darting left to right. On the couch, surrounded by at least five girls was one of the most cutest guys Destiny laid her eyes on. He almost looked feminine to tell you the truth. But there was something different about him, and his made Destiny want to know more.
Dodging and weaving through the crowd, she neared the boy. He had bright blue eyes, and his left cartilage was pierced, holding a silver loop. His hair was blonde, but almost brown, layered and cut to the middle of his neck. The bangs that were parted in the middle, was wet, most likely from having just gotten out of the shower. He was wearing tight blue jeans and a tight, white wifebeater tank top that showed off each and every muscle he had.
Casually, Destiny fixed her hair and short black mini skirt and began her march towards the mystery boy. Out of the corner of her eyes, she could tell some of the other guys at the party were looking her up and down as she passed. Smiling, Destiny kept on going to the couch. She was on a mission, and her target was only two feet away now.
As she approached the group, the girls stopped giggling and the boy looked up, some of his hair remaining in his eyes. "May I help you?" he asked.
"Yeah, I was wondering what your name was," Destiny said.
The boy didn’t look too amused. "Taylor," he said as on of the girls wrapped an arm around his shoulder. "And your Destiny Faith," Taylor said giving her a cold stare.
"How did you know?" Destiny asked fully suprised someone she didn’t know knew her.
"I can’t believe I’m even meeting you," Taylor said as the girls looked at Destiny and began to laugh. "The reason I know you is because you’ve earned quite a reputation here in Tulsa," he said. He leaned forward on the couch and motioned for Destiny to lean in. "And to tell you the truth, its not that good either town slut," Taylor finished and cracked up laughing.
"Yeah, well, it was a pleasure meeting you," Destiny said in a mock voice.
"No problem," Taylor said. "Oh yeah, and if you ever come near me, these girls, or my brothers and sisters, there will be problems," he said.
"Really?" Destiny asked crossing her hands over her chest.
"Really. I mean come on Destiny, do you really think that I or any of these people are scared of a town slut?" Taylor asked casually.
"You’re not even worth my time," Destiny said sticking her hand out in front of the group as she marched on.
Making her way through the crowd, Destiny found Megan and Hunter. She ran over to them in the middle of the dance floor, or the livingroom.
"Guys, I want to go home," she said.
"We were just saying how we wanted to leave too. We’re pretty tired," Megan said as the three of them left the party.
On the way home, Destiny said nothing. She was too busy thinking. And what Taylor had said to her stung in her memory. She had a reputation. But she didn’t care. Whoever didn’t like her for her was obviously not worth any time at all. There was always other cute guys in Tulsa for Destiny to look at anyway.
