LIFE'S DIMINISHING VALUE

The Twentieth Century will be remembered for many great things.
Great
inventions. Great advancements in the area of medicine. Fantastic scientific
achievements.
Unfortunately, it will also be remembered as a time of great tolerance.
Tolerance in areas where Christians should not be tolerant. We are allowing
Society to move farther and farther away from Judeo-Christian beliefs and slowly
drift into a time of Paganism. This path of destruction, although
present in all areas of our lives, is most obvious when we examine how we treat God's Most
Precious Gift - Life itself. Let's look at two areas of great concern: Abortion and
Euthanasia.
Abortion was once considered, by everyone, to be a very hideous crime.
ABORTION WAS MURDER. The only exception was
when a mother's life was in danger. Even then, many a mother died rather than abort the
unborn baby.
Today, twenty five years and thirty five million abortions later, many people
(including many Catholics) consider abortion to be a God given right. It is now a
matter of conscience and not a crime.
Early Court rulings focused on the fetus, not the baby. Courts ruled that a fetus
was not yet human, therefore it was legal to abort. The only question was the
point at which a fetus becomes a baby. Three months became the magical time
bantered about by the courts. Therefore, abortion was legalized for the first
trimester.
As more and more first trimester abortions took place, our hearts hardened, and
our consciences weakened. In the minds of many, the severity of sin is
diminished in direct proportion to the number of people committing it. "Abortion
can't be that bad, since so many are doing it."
As time went on, the first trimester slowly became second trimester.
Today, with President Clinton's veto of the partial term abortion bill, the door has
been opened for abortion to take place right up to the time a woman goes into
labor. A fully developed baby can now have its brains suctioned, its skull
crushed, and then be yanked from its mother's womb.
It doesn't take a genius to see that as this procedure becomes more and more
common, it too, will one day be accepted by the majority, therefore, no longer will
it be considered wrong. But, I assure you, abortion rights advocates will not stop
there.
The next quarter century will see the push for full term abortions. That is, a
woman who is in labor will have freedom of choice right up to the time of
delivery.
After full term abortion becomes an accepted practice, then will come post
birth genocide. A child born with an obvious defect will be given a lethal
injection, this procedure will be in the interest of "quality of life" advocates.
Soon we will become like China, where, if the baby is not exactly what we
want, then the baby will be euthanized. We will be given freedom of choice with
regards to sex, color, size, or whatever prejudice the parents may have. If the
baby is not to our liking, a lethal injection will be used.
Sound farfetched? Sound Cruel? It doesn't matter how it sounds, the fact is
that these procedures will one day become a reality.
The same applies to Euthanasia. Dr. Kevorkian's methods will soon become
accepted. Suicide clinics will pop up everywhere, and soon out number abortion
clinics.
People with terminal illnesses will be encouraged to seek "relief" rather than be
a burden to their families. People who choose not to terminate their lives will be
ridiculed and looked down upon.
Not only the terminally ill, but anyone suffering from depression, emotional
problems, alcoholics, drug addicts, anyone with a disability, even those with
financial problems will take advantage of this "easy way out".
Teenagers will go to court, demanding that they have the same rights as adults.
The courts, like they did regarding abortion, will agree, and teenager suicides will
become commonplace.
Life will no longer have value. Those things advocated by Hitler and others of
his kind will come to pass. The weak will die. The strong will live on.
Impossible you may say. Believe me, it is not impossible.
The trend is there.
It may not happen in the next ten or twenty years, but our children and
grandchildren will see it. The "free choice" people are being egged on by those
who will benefit financially.
Abortion is big business. It is a billion dollar business. However, it is limited
in the market place to pregnant females. Suicide clinics will have no limits. Their
services will be available to young and old alike, male and female, any living
human can avail themselves of this service.
Insurance Companies will be happy, it will eliminate long term disabilities and
health care. Medicare and medicaid will be reduced dramatically. Welfare will
be eliminated as the recipients will encouraged to accept genocide as their relief.
Many will benefit financially.
We as God Fearing Christians cannot remain apathetic. We must make a stand.
If we continue to allow abortionists and Dr. Kevorkian type individuals to control
Washington and our Courts then what I have stated will become a reality.
We must do all that we can to reverse these trends. We must all become like
Jonah, as he stood before the people of Ninevah and proclaimed their evil ways.
Jonah was an individual, yet he saved a nation. We are many and together we can
save the World.
We as Children of God must get on our knees and pray. Pray that God open our
eyes to see what is taking place. Pray that He open our minds to understand. Pray
for guidance. Pray for help. We must ask God to have mercy on us and on the
whole World. We must act NOW, before it is too late.
