CRUELTY TO ANIMALS

"A local veterinarian has been accused of killing new born puppies in the most cruel fashion. He allegedly took the new born puppies, one by one, and placed their heads in a vice. With their feet kicking in an effort to get free, he took a pair of scissors and punctured a hole in the back of their necks, right at the base of the skull. He then inserted a tube into the hole and slowly suctioned out their brains until they died".
If this were a real story, people would be enraged. Animal rights activists would be up in arms. The press would be outraged. They would demand justice. And they would be justified in their demands.
Yet, this very thing goes on every day. Not to puppies, but to babies. Human babies are destroyed exactly as described. Yet the world remains silent. Why? Because the pro-choice activists control the media. They controlled the White House. They control congress.
What I described is a partial term abortion. Most people don't know what partial term abortion is. Let me describe it. Labor is induced in a mother who is seven or more months pregnant. The baby is brought out of the womb and into the birth canal. The body is completely removed except for the head. With the feet kicking, a hole is placed in the base of the skull and the brains are suctioned out. The skull is crushed, the baby is removed and the body destroyed.
Pro abortion activists say that since the baby was not yet born (completely out of the womb), it is still a fetus, therefore it can be destroyed. Yet we all know someone who was born a month or two premature. They went on to live normal lives. Babies killed during a partial term abortion are only a few centimeters of dilation away from being born naturally. In many cases just a push away. Yet, they have no rights.
Abortion activists claim the procedure is only used when the life or health of the mother is at stake. Yet, no doctor has ever cited a single case where this procedure would be necessary. No medical school teaches the procedure.
Abortion advocates say that it is not cruel and not painful to the infant. They say that the anesthesia administered to the mother also works on the baby. Yet, when a mother is given anesthesia during normal child birth, and the baby is slapped, it cries. Apparently it has no effect on the baby. Why would it work on partial term babies. Imagine the pain they must go through.
Congress has tried to outlaw this procedure. They passed laws making partial term abortion illegal. But, each time, President Clinton vetoed the bill. The house over road his veto by an overwhelming majority. The Senate failed to over ride him by just three votes. President Bush is against the procedure. But, help is needed in Congress to eliminate the procedure.
If a vet were accused of the act described above his right to practice would probably be revoked. Yet, we allow doctors to perform these same acts on human babies. If a politician supported the vet he would be removed from office. Yet we allow people who support this procedure, to remain in power.
Let's look at the candidates position on this cruel and inhumane practice when we vote in November. Remember this procedure and the gory details when you are in the voting booth. Vote for Pro-life candidates. Save a baby from this cruel and inhumane procedure.
