1. Please tell the readers about the band. When it was formed, the line-up, releases and stuff like that.
BLACKVENOM: The band was formed in December 1998, it was a project of three URN-members (me, Pimeä, Infernus).
Flame became our main band in the beginning of 1999.
CRUSHER: I joined the band in May 1999.
The complete line-up is:

PIMEÄ: Drums
INFERNUS: Bass guitars
Flame released a demo-CD in May 2000. It's still available...it's limited to 200 copies.
2. How would you describe your music? What are your musical influences?
BLACKVENOM: I call it DEMONIC BLACKDEATH, aggressive and brutal...My influences are: SLAYER, POSSESSED, SARCOFAGO, BEHERIT, BLASPHEMY etc. and very much old Heavy Metal...
CRUSHER: No fucking trendy shit! We all have the same taste in music, much underground stuff. Just METAL!
3. What inspires you lyrically? What topics do the lyrics deal with?
BLACKVENOM: Satanism / Aggression / Hate...
4. What is the main purpose of your music? Any political/religious message?
BLACKVENOM & CRUSHER: There are not any political/religious messages in Flame's music. Only Satanic art...
5. What about live shows? Have you played any gigs lately? How often do you play live?
BLACKVENOM: METAL! Spikes, blood, corpsepaint etc. is essential in our live show. We´re possessed by true CULT of BLACK METAL!
CRUSHER: We have played three gigs in Valhalla Metal Bar, Kuopio so far...we are looking foreward to play more gigs in the future.
6. How is the metal scene in your area? Are you in contact with other bands?
CRUSHER: Many posers live in Finland, but there are some real Metal bands too, for example URN and MORNINGSTAR.
BLACKVENOM: The guys from UNPURE and SABBAT are our friends, but here in Finland 95% of the so called "metal" scene is full of posers, so we don't have many contacts with Finnish "poser" bands...
7. Is anybody in your band involved in other projects? If yes, who and which?
CRUSHER & BLACKVENOM: We two played session guitars in URN at the tour with SABBAT and UNPURE last year.
8. What is the best cd / demo you have heard in the last month?
BLACKVENOM: New IMPIETY Lp sounds fucking great!
CRUSHER: Hmmm...so many releases...well, NIFELHEIM's "Servants of Darkness" is one of the good new releases.
9. What was the last concert you went to? What was the best concert you have been at?
BLACKVENOM & CRUSHER: The whole band saw KING DIAMOND in Helsinki a few months ago. KING DIAMOND, MANOWAR and seven SABBAT shows have been the best gigs we have seen.
10. What kind of beverage is your favourite? Any special brands? Do you do any drugs?
BLACKVENOM: I think that best beer is maybe finnish beer called KARJALA! and I don´t use any kind of drugs...only alcohol is my demon.
CRUSHER: KARHU and home-made beer are the best! Alcoholic Coma!
11. What can really piss you off?
BLACKVENOM: Fucking wimpy posers and kids who try to be so "evil"...Oh and so many other things too, but it would take all day to list them...
CRUSHER: Backstabbers and Black Metal wannabies DIE!!!!!
12. What are you plans for the future? Gigs, releases and so on.
BLACKVENOM & CRUSHER: We've had good contacts from labels, so you can expect more FLAME stuff in the near future. We are looking foreward to play in all over Finland. Hopefully abroad someday...
