For Travis

*** this is about the same guy as "Sun and Shadow", written after I stopped seeing him but before I got over him. It's meant to be very ethereal and imagesque. A lot of the words and images remind me of physics, oddly enough; the second-to-last stanza always gives me this image of two galaxies slowly crashing into each other. anyways.... *

i offer you tears
lay them down before you,
here, the gifts that i bring;
a snake that eats dreams
hidden things coiling uncoiling
vortices/waves/whirls/particles

(i never went back to the mountain,
after travis left)

white cars, computers
dreams
make me think of you

but time carries on in waves, circles
event horizon
the intersection of two spirals

see death on the right hand,
standing by silent
warm as an old friend
the spark of life on the left,
emerald
i pass between, slowly
scorning the choice
"turned away the split, she did"
the divisiveness of being
"i am one, as you are three"
and we are all together

pool water, clear blue cold
stars reflected
white light, chill
like angels, floating
in the cold white sea of sky

surround
embrace
envelop
shining love

tears, i offer
(one perfect drop)
it is coming undone
the fountains mixing back into one
the whirls colliding

gloryblind
i will never see
(you) again
