Loneliness, I Would

*** I like the last half of this poem, which is why it's here. It was the first poem I wrote in quite awhile, and the inspiration wasn't flowing much at first. ***

loneliness,
i would

welcome it, do
hold
embrace

(baby this is war)

because
it is.
and there is
nothing
you
can do
about
that.

but, loneliness
is
not necessarily bad
anyways
i suppose

it
can be a
muse
in a way.

for much art is born of sorrow
and very
little
of happiness, ever

no one never said
artists
were happy anyways...
just that they looked cool,
dressed all in black, so
spinning
out
tales of life and death
love
and madness
as if they were
juggling balls

but juggling life
and death
and such
requires much concentration,
leaving little time to flirt,
etc.
and people get scared by the weight.

(or is that just an excuse
for my own fear
and lack of ability?)

granted

so, and so
loneliness comes
with her long black hair drawn out
pink fingers up on blocks
smiles flapping in the wind
and sit
down
again
to tea....
