THE STORY
The Zinni Mission Page was concieved sometime in late 1999, when Fackie was listening to Fephanie whine about how she missed Zinni and wished she'd gone out with him when she had the chance and how she knew she'd never hear from him again because he lived in Italy now and bawl bawl bawl. For about the 892 time, of course. Now, this got Fackie wondering. How can I shut her up?...The Internet is good for anything....From here it was a quick hop to the mission page concept. Fackie told Fephanie of her brilliant plan, and Fephanie said it was nifty. Then whenever Fephanie mentioned it for the next six months, Fackie would wish she hadn't opened her mouth. You see, Fackie is exceedingly lazy and did not wish to make the effort to make her idea reality. Finally, on June 16, 2000, Fackie signed up for a webpage at Angelfire, under the name "Princess Mandrill". Inside joke. And that's our story. *S-N-O-O-O-O-R-E*
UPDATE LOG
-6/16/2000: Opened shop and built the basic main page. Gathered quiz questions and memories from Fephanie.
-6/16 thru 6/25: Built the basic pages, messed around with them, messed around with them some more, fixed stuff, linked it all together.
-7/2: Finished the basic site!
-7/5: Added two big banners to the main page.
-7/6: Added two more big banners and a shiny GIF-type thingy to the main page. Thanks Feve! Added another mini-button.
-7/10: Added another button. Thanks Feve.
-7/12: A day of picky updates. Changed the wording on all the pages. Two more banners from Feve. And I added the "Paranoid Android" MIDI! Whoo!
-7/15: Added a link on the SAUSAGE! page. Changed the song to "The Great Beyond". And added another button. (Damn it Feve! That's enough already!)
-7/21: More memories. Fephanie had an epiphany.
-7/30: Changed the MIDI back to "Paranoid Android". Fephanie complained about the "elfin lad" pic that adorns the front of the page again so I added a new caption to it.
-8/11: Added the "Kiki 4 Prez!" plug-she's got my vote! Also changed the MIDI to "Take On Me"...
-8/15: Added another mini-button! This one's got a purdy floral pattern!
-8/17: Two more mini-buttons! Bleck space background and purdy peppermint background!
-8/21: Added the big "Look-Alike" banner and put odd captions on all the images. Also screwed with a few incredibly minor things that no one will notice.
-8/22: Fephanie had another memory!
-8/28: Discovered an 80s cartoon adoption page and showed it to Fephanie. Being the nonstalgia freaks we are, we decided to make a menagerie! ^_^
-8/31: Finally bothered to make a guestbook. Also, I added Raver Unico and Katy (the kitty witch!) to our menagerie.
-9/1: Fun Plugging For All! This time 'twas for Famy's Turbonium page and Feve/Feric's Alterna-DHS page!
-9/4: Added "cleaner" GIF versions of several of the banners, replacing the JPEG versions.
-9/14: A trio of new Unico pets: flying manga-style Unico, Katy in a basket and Beezel doing tail-meditation. Heh.
-10/23: Hoo-hah! Updates today - and we needed it! Well, uh, the index page has been alllll changed around - just take a look! In fact, the index page isn't even the index page anymore...s'all part that thingy where I'm linking all three of my sites together to make them some kinda big weird one. Anyway, huge index updates, minor ones to the other pages, probably more tommorrow. Huh.
-10/25: Look who finally got off her lazy ass and made a logoy-type image for the front page! Hehe, 3 new link-buttons too. Also! Contact Info page updated, AND I changed our page's official song! Ok that's enough for today.
-10/27: And with these final updates, the Minty Fresh Revolution is complete! So don't expect any more updating for awhile. More link-buttons, maybe...but that'd be about it.
-12/9: Ran into a MIDI of "Welcome To The Jungle" and just HAD to put it up here as the official page song! Hehehe.
COMING SOON
If I can talk Fephanie into it, she'll pen a little narrative about the '97-'98 school year explaining it all. If I can get together enough Neanderthal shots from Clan Of The Cave Bear (mwa-ha-ha) I'd like to make a "Zinni Look-Alikes" photo gallery! Now that could be funny! And that's all I have remotely planned for now. Come back soon!
