My '97 Suzuki TL 1000 S

TLS@work

I haven't really modified the bike too much. I'd be interested in the fender eliminator kit, but the Finnish licence plate is so damn big there's no actual gain in fitting it. I'd love to add some CF though, have to check with my monetary secretary first (LOL). I only have some heel plates from Harris ion CF. After this picture was taken, I've added some mini-stalk indicators both front and rear. A lot brighter and smaller than the original fish traps. I polished and opened up the OEM cans, but now they're thrashes and replaced with Yoshimura Race-cans. I don't like the brand, but I got a good value so what the heck? Brakediscs After putting Vesrah NRQ brakepads on my front brakes, the discs got warped. I sent them to Japan for inspection, but they came back as OK. They measured some 0.6mm inner ring fluctuation and 0.9mm outer ring fluctuation. Bought new rotors (Spiegler Race Metal) and I'm very happy with them, just not with Vesrah. Normally installation limit is 0.3mm! Suzuki 1mm!(?)

Full Power -mod

Just cut the wire to release those extra 20 balky horses (100bhp restricted European model). Sorry about the picture. Mine now fitted with the "full power" Engine Control Module (ECM) and Powercommander II. Backorder for the ECM from Japan took a whole month and the part retailed for appr. US$750 +p&p. The new ECU eliminated the SES-system (Suzuki Easy Stall) and has proven worthy.

FrontWheel Bearings

Just changed my FW-bearings @7k miles (12k km) after they had been checked by my mechanic. They insisted that the bearings were OK and that they had done a good job!? Still the bike felt wallowy and there was a constant buzz and some banging coming from the front wheel, so I re-checked it after a vacation on the bike with the missus! The crap at the bottom right is the remains of the supporting-gird. The ring up right is the dust cover of the bearing, that had been cut off. After they had 'checked' the bearings they had replaced the old stefa-seal with a new one that was 2mm loose on the axle and 1mm too thick so it was sticking out. You can see this on the photo, the one on the bottom left is the original. Nice smile on the bearing, AYE? What a job! I can truly recommend MR-Power... I really trust the owner Marko, but the help he hires for summertime-busytime... hopeless. Ah well, ever been to a summerjob yourself??
