Revelation 1:3: God blesses the one who reads this prophecy to the church, and he blesses all who listen to it and obey what it says. For the time is near when these things will happen.

The Book of Revelation is a specific, literal prophecy of events which have not yet occurred, but which WILL LITERALLY occur in the near future.  Just as over 300 prophecies were literally fulfilled by Jesus [Yeshua] when he came the first time, so shall all the remaining prophecies be literally fulfilled at His second coming.  Read about the disasters and plagues coming as judgments to THIS generation, but between the lines you will read of the Glory of God being displayed as never before in the history of mankind . . . .
