Céline Dion

I know I'm more alone with this one (cept my Céline pals *hugs*) but I also love Céline and nothing is going to change that! She is a beautiful person with a remarkable voice who just has to be admired. *grins* She is very supportive and caring towards others, being a big supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (she lost her niece Karine to this..and dedicates the song 'Fly' to her) among others...and is very appreciative of her huge and dedicated fan base. One of 14 children, she grew up surrounded by music and love and is now happily married to her manager René.

Céline is currently on a much deserved 2-3 year career break. I wish her the very best in her plans to start a family soon...and we won't forget you Céline! :)

Coincidentally, this can again be linked back to HN *laffs* as they have been her support act a few times...
Here's what the guys have to say about the experiences...

"She is so down to earth. She sat down with us all during meal times. And every night she'd ask us if we're enjoying ourselves. She knows what it's like to be a support act. On the last night of the tour, she and René invited us out for dinner and told us we were the best opening act they ever had. They've asked us along for their next world tour." (Andrew, Lime, Dec 1997).
"We met up with the beautiful Céline Dion again in Dublin. She was very happy to have us back on tour with her..." (Toby, TV Hits).
"There were 55,000 people crammed into an inner stadium. It was also the first time we've performed in the round. We were quite scared the first night. We asked the lighting guys which part of the stage was the front and they said "There Isn't One!", so we had to go and completely re-choreograph." (Phil, New Weekly, May 1999).

9/6/00 - OMIGOD...i have just found out that Céline is in fact now pregnant! *yay* Congrats to Céline & René!!! :)

25/1/01 - Baby René-Charles is born!! HUGE congratulations to Céline and Rene! Weighing 6lbs 8 ounces, he was born at 1am and is soo cute!
