No one counted Onyx, though, since he was usually doing Cycle-knows-what outta sight. Of course, this habit of Onyx's caused a crisis, 'cause one day, he didn't come back. Star and her siblings were kept a close eye on by the omega while the rest went to look for him. In the end, no one could find him, and many thought he had drowned in the river. Star blamed herself, because she saw herself as the leader of her sibs, and while Onyx may have enjoyed being left alone, he was still her brother. Still, Star was Star, and she continued to prosper, despite her hidden guilt. As she grew, she started to climb rank. During this time, her ability to be cold and impartial while making decisions and her passion for defense of the pack and her own rank earned her the adult name 'Snowfire'. Still, her pack was large, and had little need for more mouths to feed. Deciding it would be easier to see if she could create her own pack rather than fight half of her large one for the position she desired, she left them, eventually finding her way to where she is now. |
