Fast nearing his full 6 ft height, Akiji is currently the Shadow pack's only adolescent male. Since his parent's move to the backburner of pack life after his mother's hunting accident, Akiji has lived mainly on his own. Sure, he chomped on pack kills and was reeled in by Drift or some other pack member when his frequent exploratory trips brought him too close to the pack's border, but Akiji was generally left to his own devices. These days, though, his endless curiosity has shifted from the pack lands to the pack itself. Akiji was always testing the limits the pack placed on his movements as a pup; now that he had matured some, he was looking to test new boundaries within the pack.
Behind Akiji's driving curiosity is boundless optimism, a trait no one is entirely sure how he ended up with, living out on his own. However, Akiji accepts losses and wins with the same wolfish grin. Even if one day his curiosity levels off, it seems likely Akiji will still be his good natured self.
Here December sketched and outlined Akiji from memory, and overestimated the number of stripes he has. I convinced her to let me scan it anyway ^_^ Akiji's only two stripes are the ones on his head, for clarification.
