Archer breathed a sigh of relief. "It's over. We've won."
"Chalk up another one for the good guys," agreed Trip. "All you have to
do now is send the report to Admiral Forrest."
Archer shook his head. "Not yet. There's still something missing."
"Haven't we got enough data yet, Cap'n?" Trip asked. "We've got descriptions
of what those creatures looked like, how they reacted to our weapons--even
a recording of that partial transmission we picked up. What more can you
possibly want?"
Archer sighed. "Just once I'd like to be able to answer this question--who
are those guys?"
