Summary: “Things I Have Learned In Starfleet”

From The Desk Of Christine Chapel

by Rocky

Things I Have Learned In Starfleet:

  1. Number One” is nice, but being captain is better. Even when captured by aliens. Especially when captured by aliens.

  2. On an alien planet, do not touch the water, let alone drink it.

  3. Plomeek soup may be the “chicken soup” of Vulcan, but no actual chickens are involved in the cooking process.

  4. Who knew how accurate I was when I told Roger he was “too mechanical” in his lovemaking techniques?

  5. Beware of planets with Roman-style architecture and modes of dress. They always spell trouble, even before the whips and pokers come out.

  6. Meeting a guy’s parents for the first time is always tense, but especially when it involves attempted murder. And open heart surgery. During a battle.

  7. I would have known better than to over-feed a tribble.

  8. Think twice before allowing a guy to move in with your consciousness.

  9. Old Starfleet officers never retire; they always get their jobs back. Even when those jobs already belong to someone else.

  10. Even as Head of Starfleet Medical, you’ll still always be “Nurse” to certain people.
