Sunday 10/15/00
I briefly woke up around 10:30 this morning, but then I fell asleep again. Then I woke up at 1:30 when Megan called. I got out of bed and went to visit her. I sat and talked with her for about an hour and a half, and at some point during that Alison came in, then Alison got on the phone. After that Alison talked about how a minister delivered a sermon she really liked, and there was a discussion of Levitical laws while I stared at a nail on the wall until my eyes ran out of oxygen and everything got pale. Then I think I offended Alison by pointing out the snake handling passages at the end of Mark (Mark 16:9-20) and the Corinthian law of female silence in houses of worship (1 Corinthians 14:34-37).
Then I drove to Birmingham and sat on my bed and read the second chapter of Howard's End. My room was extremely clean because my mother cleaned it because a few weeks ago Cole drove me to my house to pick up the new old car and the house had to be cleaned in order to maintain the illusion that it stays clean all the time. Which it doesn't. But anyway I fell asleep on my bed which is like totally way softer than these college beds. When I woke up I ate some beans and took my medicine, which, remember, is Augmentin.
After I woke up, I called my friend Andrea. I haven't seen her in two months, so I went to see her. Then I drove back to Tuscaloosa.
I didn't get any work done at all today. I don't count the second chapter of Howard's End as substantial reading, and the four minutes of the Michael Douglas movie The Game I saw while talking to my mother didn't help me write my English paper.
Truly a Sunday to remember. Or at least write about instead of remembering. Yes, that's much better. Truly a Sunday to write about instead of remembering.
