![]() What is eWrestling?Though you will not find "eWrestling" in a dictionary, it is one of the fastest growing hobbies on the world wide web. A "eFed" can best be described as a created or made up wrestling promotion, by use of e-mail and/or Internet, made for entertainment purposes. Another way to define fantasy wrestling is a web based wrestling simulator, where you create your own wrestlers and interact with others to become the best in a particular fed.. Along the way developing charactor, improving mic work (roleplay skills) all the while sinking into your wrestlers gimmick. The more convincing your wrestler is to a "fed-head", the better your chances of being crowned it's champion. In it's begining, eWrestling was limited to e-mail. The guy who owned a mailing list would use a simulator to produce events called "cards" that were sent to the wrestlers via e-mail. e-Wrestling started a joke for someone to pick fun of their favorite professional wrestler. But over time things changed dramatically. Over the coarse of time the Internet became more popular, and eWrestling evolved! Fed Owners have become wiser and produced their feds with flashy, eyecatching websites! In fact, most e-wrestling feds are now Web Based. Though the "e" of eWrestling has basically been thrown out, (which stands for e-mail) the name is still stretched by some to refer to the business. While others now tend to refer to the game as "fantasy wrestling". Within a short span of time people began creating original wrestlers from their minds to compete for championship gold. What was once a joke had now become a means of competition for others! Though eFeds with real wrestlers still exist, the majority of todays eFeds consist of original only wrestlers, while the old ways of efedding fade into history. The biggest problem in fantasy wrestling is the never ending obstable of running a eFed. This is a hard business to break into and suceed. During the day-to-day operations of a wrestling organization, most promotion owners eventually crack under pressure and burn out. Thus leaving the entire roster unemployed, with only the ashes of their fed remaining. When this happens some federation owners leave the business completely, while others lace their boots and become wrestlers themselves. When seeking a eFed to join, it's a common thing to come across dead feds that have fallen into their graves. If you are planning to open a Fed for the first time, then don't expect to be a premier bombshell that has huge impact on the business. The chances of someone opening a sucessful eFed on their 1st try is thinner than the hairs on Hulk Hogans head. It just doesn't happen! If planning to open the doors of a eFed for the first time then I would personally recommend joining the staff of another eFed to start out with to get a taste of "some" work ewrestling brings. Running a sucessful fed calls for dedication and hella lot of free time.
