Skipped Episode 41: Sailor Venus no kako, Minako no hiren!(J) Sailor Venus' Past, Minako's Blighted Love!(JT) Minako recieves a call from an old friend one night. The friend is Katerina, a police officer and the only one who knew Sailor V's true identity. Katerina had thought Sailor V had been killed in an explosion. After Minako leaves, Kunzite turns Katerina into a youma. Usagi comes to Minako's aid by transforming into a Sailor so she can man a boat for their getaway. Minako tells how she had loved an older boy named Alan. She introduced Alan and Katerina. She had survived the explosion and as she crawled through the alley, she saw Alan at the end. She was about to call him when Katerina ran to him and told him that Minako was in the building when it exploded. Minako saw Alan hold Katerina in an embrace that showed they were more then friends. Minako decided it would be best if they thought she was dead. She moved back to Japan. Usagi is so angery that when the youma catches up to them, she almost kills it. Sailor Venus begs Sailor Moon to heal Katerina instead of killing her. Sailor Moon obliges and Venus is reunited with an old friend. She stands outside alone for a little while, looking at a picture of her and Alan. She releases the picture into the wind, bidding him goodbye. Note: This episode showed a look into Venus past and explained much about her. I wish DiC hadn't cut this episode out;_;!
Episode 38(E)/42(J): Fractious Friends(E) Usagi ga koritsu? Sailor Senshi tachino oogenka!(J) Usagi Going Alone? The Sailor Senshi's Big Fight!(JT) The Senshi trick Kunzite into believing Sailor Moon is going to leave the Sailor Senshi. Sailor Moon meets with Kunzite, while her friends watch. She says that she will give them the Silver Crystal if they return Tuxedo Mask to her. Sailor Mercury tries to get a reading on the portal that Kunzite uses to go back and forth between the Negaverse and Earth. However, Sailor Moon is captured by a youma and her friends come to her aid.
Episode 39(E)/43(J): The Past Returns(E) Usagi no kakusei! Choukako no message!(J) Usagi's Awakening! Message from the Ancient Past!(JT) The Sailor Senshi head towards Beryl's palace when they are attacked by Kunzite. When Kunzite nearly obtains the Crescent Moon Wand, it transports the Senshi to the ruins on the Moon. They are confronted by Queen Serenity, now an angel, the mother of Princess Serenity. She tells the Senshi about their past on the Moon, the Negaverse attack, the deaths of the Senshi, Princess Serenity, and Prince Endymion, and how she decided to give her own life so everyone could be reborn. When the Senshi return to Earth, Sailor Moon turns Kunzite's own attack back on him. Note: Queen Serenity's spirit first appears. Kunzite dies at the hands of Sailor Moon.
Very Important Note!!! In the English version, episodes 44 and 45 (Day of Destiny) were combined. I am going to give full accounts on the episodes seperately.
Episode 44(J): Sailor Senshi shisu! Hisou naru saishuusen!(J) The Gallant Last Battle! Death of the Sailor Senshi!(JT) The Sailor Senshi teleport to the North Pole to confront Queen Beryl. Queen Beryl sends the Doom and Bloom Girls/ DD Girls to confront them. The DD Girls kill Sailor Jupiter, Mercury, Venus and Mars. However, the Senshi kill some of the girls too. (Jupiter kills 2, Venus kills 1, and Mars kills the remaining 2. Mercury takes away their ability to create illusions). Sailor Moon becomes depressed until the spirits of the Senshi appear to her, telling her to destroy Beryl for them. Sailor Moon runs to confront Beryl. Prince Endymion's brainwashing is completed. Note: The four Senshi are killed.
Episode 45(J): Usagi no omoiha eienni! Atarashiki tensei!(J) Usagi's Eternal Wish! A New Rebirth!(JT) Sailor Moon is transported to Beryl. She discovers the Endymion is again her willing servant. He attacks Sailor Moon many times. She stops him with her tiara before he can kill her. She helps him remember their love. Queen Beryl, enraged, attacks them. Endymion throws a rose (now red again) that hits Beryl square in the chest. He is hit in the back with a giant crystal shard. Beryl sinks into the floor as Endymion dies in Sailor Moon's arms. Sailor Moon leaves Endymion, and goes outside to confront Beryl who has been reborn and merged with Queen Metalia (also called the Negaforce). Sailor Moon turns into Princess Serenity and battles Queen Beryl. The spirits of her friends come to her aid and Queen Beryl is destroyed. Sailor Moon falls down and passes out. A pink light covers her and her friends and they are reborn and transported back home. They lose all their memories of the battle and go about their lives as if nothing had happened. Note: Sailor Plant Power/Sailor Teleport (transportation phrase). The Senshi die but are revived, Queen Beryl and Queen Metalia are destroyed. The Crescent Moon Wand disappears(is destroyed?).
