CAL'S REVENGE
Chapter One
Cal was in his study, reading the paper, when
he spotted a picture of Rose and Jack with their infant son, Jake. He went to
the telephone and called his father. "Father, I am planning on going to
New York today," he said when Nathan answered.
"Why?"
"To bring back Rose. She's alive."
"How do you know?"
"She and that good for nothing Dawson
are in the New York Times."
"I will go with you so Rose won't give
you a hard time."
"Fine. Meet me here in a hour," Cal
said, hanging up.

Rose was walking with the baby, while Jack
was taking Ruth on a tour of the city. A black car pulled up next to her, and
the window was rolled down. "Hello, sweetpea."
"Cal, what are you doing here?"
"I’m here to bring you back to
Philadelphia."
"No, Cal," Rose said, starting to
walk away.
"Follow her," Cal ordered the
driver.
