ROSE AFTER TITANIC
Chapter Four
Jack was walking out of his room when Rose
came out of her room, carrying the baby she had found. "Jack?"
Jack turned around. "Rose? What are you
doing here?"
"I live here now, or at least for a
while. How about you?"
"I decided to move here. What do you plan
to do with the baby?"
"I want to keep him, but I know that I
must take him down to the police station."
"Want me to go with you?"
"I would like that."

Rose and Jack walked into the police station
with the baby Rose had found.
A police officer walked up to them. "Can
I help you?"
"Yes," Rose replied. "I found
this baby in an alley."
"When?"
"Last night."
"Sign this. If we can't find the boy's
parents, you might be able to adopt him."
Rose signed the paper. "When will I
know?"
"In a couple of weeks, Even if we don't
find the boy's parents, we will have to do a background check on you."
Rose nodded.
Walking out of the police station, Rose
turned to Jack. "I hope I will be able to adopt him."
