ROSE AFTER TITANIC
Chapter One
Rose walked though the crowded streets,
trying to find place to stay. She froze in her tracks when she thought saw Cal
standing across the street. Rose tried to hide in a building, but it was too
late.
Cal saw Rose, and walked to where she was.
"Rose, wait."
Rose turned to face Cal. "Cal, please
leave me alone."
"Rose, please," Cal pleaded.
"No, Cal. Jack is dead because of you. I
saw you use a third class girl to get space in a lifeboat. Then, you forgot
about her. I don't want to see you ever again. Is that in any way
unclear?" she asked, as she walked away from him.
"Rose!" Cal called after her, but
Rose just kept on walking.
Cal just stood there for a minute before
turning around.

Rose finally found a place near Broadway. She
walked into the building. "Do you have an apartment to rent?"
"Yes, we do."
"How much?"
"About twenty dollars a month."
Rose thought for a moment. "Okay. I will
take it."
The man handed her a key, and said, "If
you need anything, just ask. By the way, my name is Frank Calvert."
Rose took the key and thanked him. She looked
at her key. It read apartment 1A. She found it as soon as she walked up the
stairs. She opened the door and walked in. She gently closed the door behind
her. She looked around the apartment. It had a bed by the window, a small
sitting area, a small kitchen, and a small bathroom It might have been small,
but Rose loved it.

Cal walked into Ruth's and his suite.
"Ruth, I found Rose, but she would not listen."
"Well, Cal, I guess just we have to
kidnap her."
"No, Ruth. Rose was right for leaving
me," Cal said, as he walked into his room, leaving Ruth in shock.
Cal lay on his bed, trying to sleep. He kept
having nightmares about the awful way that he had treated Rose, before and on
Titanic. For a second, he thought of killing himself, but decided it was the
easy way out. He decided that he was going to make a change for the better.

Jack walked down Broadway. He could not
believe Rose was dead. He walked into a building, not knowing that he was about
to run into Rose.
