CAL’S LIFE-CHANGING EXPERIENCE
Chapter Fourteen
After the movie, Cal, Lucy, and
Sandy decided to get a bite to eat at a local diner.
"Where do you want to
sit?" Lucy asked.
"It does not matter to
me," Cal replied.
"Me, either," Sandy
said.
"How about by the window,
then?"
"Sounds good," Sandy
and Cal replied.
A waiter brought out menus, but
they already knew what they wanted.
"I will have a cheeseburger
and fries," Cal said.
The waiter wrote down Cal's
order. "Anything to drink?"
"Yes. Lemonade."
"I will have the same,"
Lucy said.
"I will also have the
same," Sandy added.
The waiter wrote down the orders
and left.
Nathan's detective was sitting in
a corner unnoticed.
The Next Morning
The detective walked into the
jail. "Can I see Nathan Hockley?"
The guard nodded his head.
"I followed them to a diner
after the movie."
"Good," Nathan replied.
"Do you want me to keep
following them?"
"Yes," Nathan replied.
The detective nodded his head and
started to leave.
"Be sure they don't see
you."
"Don't worry. They
won't."

Sandy, Cal, Lucy, Jack, and Rose
were having breakfast at the same diner that Cal, Lucy, and Sandy had had an
after movie dinner at the night before.
"Rose and I were thinking
about seeing the movie again," Jack said, taking a bite of his pancakes.
"It was good," Cal
replied.
Rose took a bite of her eggs.
"Do any of you want to come?"
"I would love to,"
Sandy replied.
"What about you two?"
"Yes," Lucy replied.
"No. I think I will do some
shopping."
The detective was watching,
trying to decide who to follow. He decided to asked Nathan.
