ALL’S WELL AS ENDS WELL
Chapter Fourteen
I felt someone shaking me. I
opened my eyes, expecting to see the dark blue ocean. But instead, I saw Katy.
"Christine! Christine! Wake
up!" Katy said.
"What happened?" I
asked, feeling light-headed.
"You weren't breathing for,
like, a minute!"
"I thought I was
sinking!" I said.
"You weren't sinking! Why
would you be sinking?" Katy asked.
"You know, the Titanic
thing?" I asked, desperately hoping I wasn't crazy.
"It was probably a
dream!" Katy said.
"Then h-how do you explain
the dress you're wearing?" I asked.
"W-what?" Katy looked
at her dress. "Oh, God! We really were there," Katy added.
Katy changed out of her dress and
into jeans and a white t-shirt. The doorbell rang. It was Katy's mom. Katy left
and left her dress with me. I, too, changed out of my dress and into sweats.
Something landed on my toe as I was changing.
"What's this?" I asked
myself. I picked it up. It was a gold pocket watch. I smiled and tucked the
pocket watch into a drawer.
The End.
