Since the dawn of the Empire, the Phoenix have been devoted to the search for wisdom. Their Elemental Masters, the most powerful shugenja in the Empire, fell prey to dark sorceries, leaving the Phoenix broken and defeated. Now the last survivors of the Phoenix gather in ruined palaces, hoping to rebuild what was lost. The greatest shugenja of the generation, Naka Kuro, guides the novices on their paths to wisdom -- but will their salvation come too late?

The Honor Bound Prerelease is this weekend, and with any luck I'll make it out to more than one tournament. Also, I'm working on a few more features for the page. I've got a trading and strategy forum in the works, but it's still in the very early stages. Closer on the horizon, I'm working on an online tutorial for players new to L5R. If there's anything in particular you'd like to see in the tutorial, please drop me an email and let me know! Finally, since I may soon be starting up an L5RRPG game, there may be an RPG area opening up in the future. Until then, here are more links to the L5R world... and maybe I'll have a strategy article ready for next week.

What's New This Week:
- In case you haven't heard yet, Honor Bound was horribly miscut, so the expansion is being recalled, reprinted, and re-released at a yet-undetermined date. However, pre-release events will continue as planned, as only about one-third of the set was miscut. Head on out to the nearest prerelease; they're practically giving the cards away!
