The year 1963 was much like any other early 1960`s year so far. Rock and roll was starting to gain a stronghold in America`s youth, and people were just starting to become aware that peace, not war was       what America needed most. Neil Armstrong had become the first person to enter into astronaut training, and a soon-to-be national hit Garth Brooks was celebrating his first birthday. A young George Bush was thinking of running for the U.S. senate next year, and a little girl named Oprah was celebrating her ninth birthday. The summer of 1963, however, could be known as the turning point for rock/pop music, and   after that summer, music would never be the same.....
