* Today's top story is tonight's upcoming Heroes of Wrestling Pay-Per-View. The event begins at 8PM and will feature many past stars from the 1980's and early 90's. "Dirty" Dutch Mantel will be doing the commentating and announcing for the event, along with wrestling legend, Gordon Solie, with possibly Mick Karch being added to the mix. Here is the full card:

Yokozuna vs. King Kong Bundy
Jim Neidhart vs. Jake Roberts
Bob Orton vs. Jimmy Snuka(w/Lou Albano)
Abdullah the Butcher vs. One Man Gang
Tully Blanchard vs. Sweet Stan Lane
Greg Valentine vs. George "The Animal" Steele(w/Sherri Martel)
Bushwackers vs. Nikolai Volkoff & Iron Sheik
Marty Jannetty & Tommy Rogers vs. Samoan Swat Team
Too Cold Scorpio vs. Julio Sanchez

* On to today's other news, which is really slow:

* Bob Ryder reports that both Vince Russo and Ed Ferrera will be backstage at Nitro tomorrow, as they begin to evaluate the roster.

* Meltzer reports that Super Crazy has taken a few weeks off for a vacation in Mexico.

* Hector Garza has finally returned to WCW after a series of serious knee injuries.

* Steve Sharp and Joe Hitchen have both signed developmental deals with the WWF. Sharp is an Indy worker from the Midwest, while Hitchen comes from the Toronto area.

* Torrie Wilson could turn heel on Kidman, and side with "The Franchise" Shane Douglas, as his heel turn is completed. Apparently, WCW liked how Shane Douglas worked with Francine in ECW, and are going to try the same for him in WCW.

* ECW may be pulling ahead of WCW as the #2 federation with the WWF #1.

* WebsterJTC was at the Smackdown tapings Tuesday night, and said that fan threw a cup of beer in the ring, and D'Lo slipped on the beer while trying to execute the running powerbomb. When Dlo slipped, Droz fell on his head. Beleive that if you will it's from "Sister Midnight".

* On this day in wrestling history ..

1982 - Nick Bockwinkel defeated Otto Wanz for the AWA Heavyweight title

* Thats all for today
